IF Kelly is going to get paid for the whole term of her contract, then, IMO, she is STILL AN EMPLOYEE of NBC.
IF I held that contract, I would make sure that if I were paying her, she could just sit at home, and that she could NOT work for anyone else. She is STILL MY EMPLOYEE. She cannot double-dip. Leave her ‘on the bench’, suited up, but no longer in the game.
By the time her contract runs out, no one will want her any more.
Contracts say what they say, not what you want them to say. Sorry.
