The White House Is Warning That ‘Socialists’ Are Coming to Kill the Booming Economy
A report from the Council of Economic Advisers compares Bernie Sanders to Chairman Mao, and warns that pickup trucks cost more in Sweden.

The White House Council of Economic Advisers on Tuesday published a 72-page report criticizing what it described as the socialist ideas of leading Democratic Party politicians, and seeking to link President Trump’s political rivals with figures reviled by most Americans.
The document departs from the council’s long tradition of delivering sober, albeit partisan, studies on current questions confronting economic policymakers, such as the value of tax cuts or the effects of increased corporate concentration. Instead, the report seeks to tar Democrats by linking them with the failed economic policies of communist governments in China, the Soviet Union and other countries.
The word “socialism” appears 144 times — on average, twice a page.
In case the point was lost on anyone, the message was driven home by a follow-up release from the White House press office with the headline “Congressional Democrats Want to Take Money From Hardworking Americans to Fund Failed Socialist Policies.”
The report does not shy away from lumping in liberal politicians and their policy proposals, such as Medicare for All and tuition-free college, with the atrocities committed by authoritarian regimes. For example, it compares Lenin’s demonization of kulaks, or yeoman farmers, to Ms. Warren’s critiques of the behavior of some large corporations. The report asserts that both are attacks on “oppressors of the vulnerable.”

Of course the Socialists want all the money for themselves. A while back Liz Warren said that taxes on people should be at least 80-90 percent. The dems have totally lost their ever loving minds.

Relating Socialists to the Economy is nice. But this is about FAR more than just knocking economic growth down a point or two. It’s about the very soul of our nation, whether the Republic dies or continues, whether we become the next Venezuela with people eating the zoo animals to survive.
If people think that economic growth is all we profess to be concerned about, then it will be far too easy for the Dems to get people to agree to socialism.
Being afraid of socialism just because it would “kill” a booming economy is trivializing the real danger. This makes me furious.
Don’t know why the left in this country are missing their great opportunity to finally make socialism work, by moving to Venezuela.

Economic..............as relating to our economy, not all those other things you've got yourself in a lather about.
yup. happened in 2009. lathered, rinsed, repeated in 2012. the ONLY saving grace, and it was a VERY minor one, was that a weakling Republican party took Congress in 2010...that kept a small small pilot light flame alive.
Enter 2016, MAGA hit like a monsoon. And our economy IS booming.
The truth is “socialists” are embodied in the Demon Rat party.
Demon Rats hate classical CHRISTIANITY.
Demon Rats hate free markets CAPITALISM.
Demon Rats hate our CONSTITUTION.
My point still stands. To the extent that the government limits this to a reduction in economic output, the government is diverting attention from the real danger of socialism - tyranny, despotism, communism, death.
Don’t take it likely.
