A. Enjoy fantasy as is, w/o applying it to 2018 standards.
B. Lighten up and have fun. Read w/o policing every single story ever written.
C. Believe that surprises can be a good thing too, not always life altering in the negative.
How about taking cautionary tales for what they are?
