How came you to know Jon Pertwee? Or are you speaking figuratively?
I wrote to him back then and asked if I could meet him when I next visited London, I met him and his family, and we became actual friends. Spent much time with him in the UK and the US at conventions or just visiting.
Jon gave me his costume used in the Green Death and other episodes, his Five Doctors script (I was in London when they were filming it and went to the rehearsals), and other of his favorite items so I’d have something to remember him by. As if I could ever forget!
