Carl Bernstein had a nervous breakdown after the Watergate affair, didn't write for years. Probably a result of guilt over colluding with Woodword in the smearing of the president. It appears Trump has triggered his paranoia much as Nixon did. Expect a relapse and Bernstein's disappearance from the scene fairly soon.

Bernstein is a liar and an aduldered. He claimed to be having root canals but in fact was having an affair while his wife was 8 months pregnant. He later had a major alcohol problem and stole a horse and buggy from in front of the Plaza and raced them into Central Park.

People’s Mujahedin of Iran are or were a pretty formidable group. They are neo-communist nationalists and back in the Shah's time conducted numerous attacks in Iran including on American military and civilian personnel. Saddam provided them a safe haven in Iraq. When the Shah fell they became number one on the mullah's sh*t list and lots were killed in many unpleasant ways. The PM retaliated and for a number of years conducted big time terrorist bombing and assassination operations in mullah land. After we toppled Saddam the Shias pretty much told them to take a hike. Don't know what became of them or their pretty big infrastructure in Iraq.
