I used to ask lefties who decried how long it was taking to fight Iraq (originally) and then Afghanistan. They’d say we won WWII in shorter time (ignoring that we’d sat out the first few years of war) and completely forgetting that we dropped several nukes on populated cities to speed up the conclusion.
