It is an issue that has gotten a lot of play all over the world for obvious reasons. One country murdering a US resident with such complete impunity in a third country is, shall we say highly unusual, especially when both countries are US allies. It is not possible for the US to avoid this issue and until the government takes a stance one way or the other the question will keep being asked, fairly I would say.

From a geopolitical perspective it may be a matter of who is more important to American interests in the Middle East, Turkey or Saudi Arabia. Neither one can be discounted and President Trump is in a very unenviable position. Either way, this is an important issue and I don’t see what good it does to pretend otherwise.

So you think anyone who lives in the US should get the same benefits as a citizen? What about the US citizens who were beaten within an inch of their lives right here on US soil by the Turks?

This guy was Muslim Brotherhood and n friend of the US.
