But it is better to compel/coerce Mexico to do it.
If they reach the US border, our only option is to use military forces to seize a strip of land on the Mexico side to prevent them crossing onto US soil and presenting themselves to any Immigrations agent.
Once they do that, they’re in and semi-permanent.
And if faced with that situation, we MUST do that.
It would be an electoral disaster for Trump and Republicans to let them in.
Disaster.
I think unfortunately we need to start preparing to use force, as it looks to me like Mexico is engaged in kabuki theater.
