There is a brainy, secular, elite few here in the US who comprise a type of Grievance Elite, maybe just 1 or 2% of the US population.
Their view is that as long as there is a large body of Euros a residual sense of kinship that these few Rulers can never be safe; they could pull together and resist.
If instead via unchecked immigration this 1.9% could instead grow to be just one of very many small groups here in the US then they could have a greater sense that Those Unwashed Others could never pull together and resist their authority.
The goal is a dusky US population fond of oom-pah-pah music and juuuust awake enough to trudge to picking fields or to factory assembly stations, yet not smart enough to ask the type of rigorous questions that make elections truely meaningful via rigorous debate.
They want voting by slobbering poltroons who like comics, enjoy soccer and fluorescent Jesus figurines on their car dashtops.

Better solution: Let no one in. At all. Only those with passports and a reason to come in will be admitted in. If someone else really needs to come in, they need to go to a USA embassy in their country and petition for asylum (the current legal route).
