I’ve seen bigger rats than that. Where I am from we call them Democrat politicians. /s
Certain Rat poison will make them leave to get water. NO STINK
I remember back when I lived in NYC seeing rats as big or bigger than a house cat. They were usually visible on empty building sites that were awaiting construction.
Rent control - you get what you pay for.
Horrible. I cannot imagine stepping into a kitchen like that to trying cooking. Sleeping in such an apartment would be out of the question. I’m aware that I speak as someone who is not desperate for a place to stay. I can’t see staying there for any reason.
This is an instance where the Local News still does a lot of good. The Government Managers aren’t doing their job. Time to make some noise and publicly embarrass them.
Breeding ground for the Hantavirus, which can be fatal to humans.
(Insert eye roll here...)
And they vote Democrat!
Looks like Democrats caucusing.
These are welfare recipients living in section 8 housing, correct?
Get a terrier.Problem solved.
Come to Claremont Consolidated, Gibson said, and see how your residents, how our constituents, are living day to day. Its not acceptable. You wouldnt live like this.
Sucks to live in a democrat monopoly.
Shut up and vote for us.
Gordon Liddy grew up in NYC back in the 30’s. He described the rat problem they had then. Some things never change.
My mother told stories about living in a house on a river with huge rats. When they moved in they put rat poison in oatmeal and scattered it in the attic. After they cleaned them out of the house and repaired the house she said they only had to regularly put out something to keep the rats and mice away.
Rat poison and traps work pretty well, for them to be so bad are the tenants just waiting for someone else to do something?
Can’t these numbnuts go down to the local hardware store and buy a few traps?? Then stop a the local deli and get some cheese (actually, peanut butter works better). WHAM! a few times.....problem solved.
Rats don’t just show up. There has to be a food source and a way for them to get in. The getting in part should be handled by the NYCHA but the tenant is responsible for making sure there is not a food source. That kitchen did not look like much thought was given to cleanliness (I mean even if the rats were not there).
We battled an infestation after the yard next door was cleared after the house had been abandoned for a few months. The rats were not as bold as the ones in the video. In fact they were quick to run. Our dogs still caught quite a few. It makes me wonder how long the rats have been around to be so non-complacent about people being there.
Counter guy at a diner I sometimes go to says they are as big as “bunnies.” Funny, but not funny.
Use Tres Pasitos. Just tell everyone to be careful and keep their pets and children away from the stuff. This is an emergency.
When the government is your housing landlord!!!
A pistol with rat shot makes some mighty entertaining hunting. . . oh . . . you can’t have guns in NYC. Guess you guys are just going to have to live with the rats.
Veronica Martinez, shut up and keep voting Democrat or else!
