My thought is that like most libs, she assumed that she could simply tell everyone that it proved she was an Indian and they would blindly accept it.
You can't blame her in a way. The Rats have been getting away with it for 50 years and can't accept that now any old garbage lie they spew will no longer automatically be swallowed whole without question. It must be infuriating and profoundly frustrating for them.
