Now California is making it mandatory to have a woman on the Board of Directors.
I thought that was the case, too, until I saw a report this week that the requirement is more like one-half of the directors must be female. However, that bumps against the current fluid definition of "female," which this report noted under California law includes those self-identifying as female; the reporter then jokingly suggested the resolution likely will simply devolve to a sufficient number of male directors agreeing to wear dresses for today's meeting.
