I had this plan to buy some cigars, just drive wherever I felt like going with the windows down and moon roof open...just to see the country. I had one week, and wanted to go horseback riding at a place I knew off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Bedford, VA, so I started out from New England with that as my day one destination...
It poured rain, so I didn't ride, stayed two nights at the horse farm, and kept going, and got it in my head I was going to go to the Four Corners monument in Utah. I got as far as Louisville, KY and realized I couldn't make it, and while having dinner, figured out where to go. I decided to go to Nebraska because I had never been there. I pulled out a map, closed my eyes, and put my finger down on a random town in the southeast corner of the state...Falls City.
That was my destination.
So, as I ate my dinner, I decided to see if there was anything interesting there. Turns out the only thing it was known for was the murder of some transvestite, they even had a monument in town for it. Realizing that kind of sucked as a destination, I decided to pick another town, and ended up choosing Tecumseh, NE. That had a far more interesting, and somewhat spicy history...:)
Anyway, here was the route I ended up taking in about six days:
So, I am reading this story about this murdered homosexual, and thinking what...is THAT the guy? But no...a different homosexual who was murdered, both in some rural part of the country, both beatified by the Left.
