Pecan Pies for Christman Gifts may be much more expensive this year. There aren’t many substitutes for that distinctive flavor of roasted pecans.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders is said to be pretty good at making these pies for her family.
Just look up #PieGate and
White House reporter April Ryan.

The price of Texas Pecans (pah-cons) just shot up and this is the first year my one tree is making.

The nuts are still covered in a thick husk that needs to be frozen to bust open to reveil the nut.
Texas and NewMexico pecans just went up in value. They will be $20.00/lb in the stores for Christmas.

I may have to make an effort to pick our pecans this year to sell. Normally, I only pick enough to last us until the next year. The dogs and the squirrels love them.

Pecans are very low in carbs. 4 net carbs in 1 cup.

Ok, thanks. Maybe I confused them with Walnuts.

Bummer.
My holiday baking pecans come from either Georgia or West Texas.
