Camille was a shocking storm. I was very young but I remember our family going over there soon after Camille. It was shocking.

Yes, it was rather shocking. I remember it well as I was in the middle of it at Keesler AFB, MS. It’s interesting that they now say “winds estimated at 175 mph”. I was listening to the radio that night and they said it was 195 where we were and 210 a few miles away. Whatever it was, it sure made a mess. I have a picture of a sailboat sitting on top of a gas station...
