Corrections welcome, but I think that the positive effects of resveratrol on the heart, resveratrol associated with red wine, were discovered when researchers tried to figure out why the French had healthier hearts than USA citizens.

Note that when countries are listed in order of longevity, France comes in 9th for both sexes, USA listed as 31.

List by the World Health Organization (2015)

Again, corrections welcome.

I’ve been taking a resveratrol supplement for years. It also boosts the immune system. It’s not magic but it can make a big difference for those who tend to get colds easy.

#25. Ever seen a skinny Italian? They drink wine with almost every meal, have cheese, pasta, veggies, olive oil, and bread, bread, bread.

As for the study and people at or over 75, by then who gives a damn about having a drink a day. It’s the scientists and psychologist who are killing us with their stupidity and badly controlled studies.

Bon appetite!
