It's not going to happen, unfortunately.

Alaska loves their pork, their special-interest groups, and the establishment. Palin found this out the hard way.

Murkowski won by a write-in vote, when she was clearly beaten in the GOP primary.

Looks like the process is only for the governor, lieutenant governor, or members of the state legislature, not federal reps.
