In a way, yes...because Kayser had signed a statement that if false, could lead to possible perjury charges. No different than sitting in the witness box, and taking the oath to tell the truth. The fact that after talking with McLean, she felt compelled to "clarify" her statement tells me that the call bothered her, which it was meant to do.
