I thought the Republicans were headed to mid-term victory even before the Kavanaugh mess. A 5-7 seat pickup in the senate was a virtual certainty due to all the Democrats up for re-election in Trump states. I still think we might get 10 which would put us over 60 in the Senate.

As for the House, the Democrats would need to run the table on contested seats to win the majority. That's not going to happen. I think odds are better than 50/50 that the Republicans actually add to their current House majority.

Democrats need to flip 24 House seats to hand the gavel back to Pelosi. This isn't happening.
