When did ND turn liberal? My relatives live there and it sure aint liberal.
Bismarck is pretty liberal. As is Fargo. Grand Forks a little less so. Minot is a mixed bag with the university on one hand but Minot AFB on the other. But then you go rural and it gets deep red.
(Live in Minot ND myself.)
Sorry. When one gets to be an antique, memories get limited, selective. I was recalling north damotas Non- Paryisan League ( with roots in the leftist Progresuve era and largely organizes by an active Socialist) and how it became the states parallel to neighboring minnesotas Farmer Lanor party.
North Dakota Legislature at present is, Senate 81 Republican, 13 Rat.
House is 71 Republican, 23 Rat.
Other offices...Gov, Lt. Gov, Sec of State, Attorney General, State Treasurer, Insurance Commish, Tax Commish, Ag Commish, Superintendent of Instruction, all Republican.
One Rat serves on 3-member Public Service Commission, that's it.
U.S. Senator John Hoeven is a lefty butt-kisser but can be counted on nonetheless for votes like this.
Heitkamp (German for grass-chowing heifer) will be one fewer mouth (and giant ass) at the trough, thank goodness.
