Matriarchal societies are fine, but they will only last until they are conquered by a patriarchal one, at which point the barbarian males will rape all the women and kill all the feminized male and institute their patriarchal society. It is better to respect your women, and ensure they have the same rights as men, while making sure your men remain masculine AND civilized. That is America’s old formula, as opposed to islamic societies, where women have no rights and their men are savages.

A civilization, to survive, has to solve the problem of how to motivate men to fight to defend it.
A man will fight to defend what he considers to be HIS. A man who does not consider he has fixed property he needs to defend, is likely to just take a walk over the next hill when invaders come calling.
