Then that's it. Flake can vote with a clean conscience /s
Seriously, this thing is almost over. I doubt it will even take a week to have the full vote. It wasn't going to happen until around Tuesday of next week anyway.
Thats how I felt yesterday. It made me angry sick.
Sorry about your sad emoticons, but President Trump would have never said such if he didn't know Kavanaugh will be confirmed. Grassley have been playing the Dim socialists all along with his contortions to allow a fair hearing of Dr. Ford.
Pres. Trump will not direct the FBI for further investigation and just let the socialists play their losing cards. As for Flake, who knows, but I suspect in the end he will vote for consent for his future lobbying gigs. I suspect that Turtle-man will stretch this out a week to show more fairness and there will be NO other witnesses coming forward.
The game is over for Ford, Ramirez, Swetnick and all their sleezy handlers and enablers. There are no other players. Every person they claimed to be a witness has denied such. Checkmate.
Welcome to the USSC, Judge Kavanough. So you miss a couple of cases starting October 1st, you have a lifetime to support the original INTENT of the Founding Fathers. Amazing how that concept makes socialist minds bleed, when they've witnessed how much our Nation has had a positive influence on so many others.
Sometimes I think the word, Utopia, has some kind of magical power over common-sense. Maybe we should be looking at a magical spell to counter that notion. GOT INGREDIENTS?...haha.
I'm not ready to say "Flake, you magnificent b---", but I will say "Grassley, you wise old owl". This will turn out fine.
Manchin just said the same thing.
There’s not going to be a vote.
He knows and he doesn’t give a damn. Flake is selling himself to the highest bidder on K street.
He will become a lobbyist, join a ‘thunk tank’ or publish a flakey book which he may have already been offered a million dollar advancement.
It could go either way. Kav is a side issue. What’s it take to buy Jeff is today’s question.
Right now we are down to twisting the knife.
Manchin is only saying that becomes the republicans have given him cover.
I sincerely pray you are correct.
Having the fbi uncover damning things on Ford gives the demonrats the cover to claim ‘we were played by an unstable woman’. Could that be in the strategy? Fineswine and the rest if the sleazy demonrats exposed their dead souls on TV. They need cover to claim innocent mistakes, now.
That’s what I thought happened.
Grassley is a wily one. He took advantage of the confusion to vote it out of committee.
But the truth is that what Grassley said doesn't matter, so he really can't have "snuck one in". Ultimately, the only thing that matters for confirmation is what kind of investigation will satisfy Flake and the two women, and they're going to go by what they want, not by what Grassley said in committee.
Again, the key point is whether or not they are satisfied with limiting it to Ford, or whether they'll demand an investigation into Avennati's crap as well.
How did the Democrats "win again"? They got completely rolled. Di-Fi was like: "WTF just happin'?"
While I agree with the essence of your #507, I think the "he" above should refer to Grassley. He was certainly talking faster than Feinstein can think.
Am willing to bet Flake was more focused on moving it to the senate where his vote was more valuable.
Want to find time to research the "2 Hour" rule. Does Feinstein have any basis for reconsideration of the vote? Can the chair verify there is a quorum simply by counting left and right or is a call necessary?
With any delay, you will get another accusation. So, I think Kavanaugh tells the republicans, "Screw you. If you delay I withdraw."
So, not only do we not get Kavanaugh we get beat to death in the midterms.
I know I am negative here, but look at what just happened. Only a moron would believe anything changes in a week. Murkie, Collins and Flakey are not weak. They are a no.

The Senate Judiciary Committee has voted along party lines to advance Brett Kavanaughs Supreme Court nomination to the Senate floor.
The 11-10 vote Friday came just one day after Republicans heard testimony from Christine Blasey Ford, who accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her when they were teens. Kavanaugh denied the accusation.
At the last minute, Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona, said he could not promise to vote for Kavanaugh on the Senate floor and called for a delay of up to a week for a further investigation.
Republicans voted to move ahead with Kavanaughs nomination.
Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley noted the timing on Senate vote was up to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Yes, indeed. Plus an FBI agent was on the news the other day and stated that no federal crime had been committed. He went on and listed several reasons why they have no basis to investigate this issue.
There will be red tsunami over this at the midterms. It’s already showing in the honest polling.
Judge K won’t back out. He said so. He will be Justice K.
Hold the faith.
