You’re an a$$hat.
I was raised that boys and men aren’t to cry. As a former Infantry Marine I learned to completely hide and control emotions and feelings and to push through regardless. You bury it deep, but you can still be aware of it. If you can’t understand the emotional hurt him and more specifically his family have gone through, you are far more cold hearted than I am.

Well said.
As a younger man, I never cried.
After 9/11, I have become much more sentimental with age.
Just remembering that day and now my family, sets me right on the edge. Just hugging my granddaughter can set me off these days.

Let me ask you a very simple question: If Mitch had decided to let Merrick Garland go through the confirmation process, and if a bunch of women had stepped forward with made-up accusations against him, and Merrick come out crying and choking up, would you talk about how he's a brave man and how his family had suffered?
Or would you call him a snowflake and say that he needed a safe space?
