Yes, that also crossed my mind. I remember the 1970s, for sure, and only one person I knew even HAD a one-piece suit, and she was a competitive swimmer. EVERYONE ELSE had bikini’s. I have to believe that was the same in the 1980s.

THEN - if Ford HAD been wearing a 2-piece, the assaulter would have had an easy time getting into her clothing.

So the 1-piece assertion kind of reflects badly on her, on two fronts, IMHO.

Thanks to Farrah Fawcett, the one piece bathing suit was all the rage in the late 1970s. Not sure if style carried over to the early 1980s.

Ford said that she practiced diving at her club. Competitive divers have always worn one piece suits. Has anyone even asked what time this “party” took place? Perhaps it was during the day when parents were all at work.
