I believe Mitchell showed that the Democrats got hold of this accusation and managed it more for political purposes than for the benefit of Ford.
She showed that the Democrats hired the lawyers; the Democrats leaked it to the press; and the Democrats held the matter until the very last moment.
As Mitchell said at the end, the process she took (which was managed by the Democrats) was the worst possible way to handle this.
Yep - political operatives took over, making all the decisions, managing all the plans - Ford may not have even been in the loop for any of that, and was just floating along for the ride. And I think it shows.
