The Dems expected Kavanaugh to step aside. When he showed his sand and stayed to fight they knew they were f’d but had to play it all out to the end or else get destroyed by their rabid base.
I agree with this. They effed up big time and now are just playing it out to stem the damage. He is going to be confirmed. This is all theater.
