Why exactly does it matter if anyone’s watching? This is not a campaign for an elected office to be voted on by the voters, the people. It doesn’t matter what the people out there think. The Republicans all know the game that’s being played and that if this nomination is cast aside and Kavanaugh is asked to step aside the entire Republican base is going to walk away from the party in the next election who knows how many after that.
It matters because it relates to the midterms. It matters because all Dems need here is to stop two Republicans from voting yes. It matters because even the liberal-hated FOX is on the nut’s side.
