Maybe she was the adult who illegally provided alcohol to minors.

Drinking age was 18 at the time, so the liquor probably wasn't an issue. But she mentions Quaaludes, a prescription medication frequently abused at the time. Quaaludes would be the kind of thing that brought an adult to a party with minors. Either to sell or buy.
