I don’t think so. An open SCOTUS seat will guarantee every republican will be at the polls. I’ve always thought the theory it would discourage people was nuts.

They used to. We are at or near a majority in this country who were foreign born or were never taught American exceptionalism. To the contrary, they believe that America caused most of the world’s problems and is not a force for good. Our kids are being told that they don’t need to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in school and that kneeling for the Anthem is a good thing.
