Grassley needs those weak Republican links in the committee because Ford has given cover for all the weak democrats in republican states to vote against Cavanaugh.
The sad thing about this is that the democrats are playing perfectly to the white suburban female voters who voted for Trump and the female independents there. This is the demographic that has gone soft on Trump.
I have read that unstable, but intelligent people often go into the psychiatric field so as to be able to diagnose and treat themselves.
