I just mentioned School of Rock the other day in reference to Ghostbusters.

Like Kristen Wiig, Jack Black thinks that if he just invents an odd-ball character with strange mannerisms it's automatically funny.

It isn't.

They both expect audiences will laugh and love them if they make funny faces, but it doesn't work that way.

P.S. Calling anybody a POS is a confession that one doesn't have much imagination or creativity.

If that's the best somebody can come up with it's sad - especially if they feel they have to say it in public.

Yep. Any comedian worth their salt can come up with some excellent and stinging insults. Simply calling someone a POS is amateur hour.

Good point about Kristen Wiig. Her talents are kind of limited to “I’m quirky and you’d better laugh.”

However, disappointing though he is today, Jack Black actually has a very good singing voice, and he is a very good actor. He has played mild mannered love interest characters without the typical looks for it and pulled it off. He’s very good within his quirky characters. And I recently saw his Drunken History episode and he can do anything, like a genius improv guy.

I’m done with paying for him now, though.
