The NYT points out a something we should all be careful about.

Blindly accepting, believing, and spreading unfounded internet rumors.

I know how tempting it is to jump on these rumors when the fur is flying but everyone needs to be careful.

The left loves to plant such rumors knowing gullible people will spread them without confirmation and they can then use this to discredit the right.

If the rumor is too good to be true, it probably is.

The Clintons made whole sections of their campaigns about planting bogus stories and then going after those who published them - or investigate them and don’t publish them.
