With all due respect, Mr. President, you picked him.
You need to look in the mirror.
It was like absolutely zero homework done on Sessions and his background. The guy was a GOP-pretender for all those years in Alabama, and no one really dug into that.
True, but he picked a guy who he thought was loyal to the Rule of Law and wounldn’t back down. With so much information, text messages, emails, testimony, and the conflicts of interest that have been made public, Sessions could/should be doing more and we all know it. He has chosen to sit back and let Mueller and Rosenstein run unaccountable.
He’s like Coach Klein in, The Waterboy. Hopefully, this is all an old school, Rope a Dope, but I’m tired of it. As are millions of others.
The President could clear the debt, pay off all the student loans, cure cancer, house the homeless, feed the hungry and they’d still challenge, resist and oppose him at every turn.
Why not let the man do his job?
Your “mirror” comment is a bit misplaced, imho.
Trump had every reason to believe Sessions would be firm. DJT has good reason to be disappointed in the recusal.
You are correct. I can’t figure out why he hasn’t fired the laggard. Texting his displeasure makes no sense.
I think he is hoping that Sessions will be sufficiently embarrassed and quit. Otherwise, he will fire him after the Midterms.
He had good reason. Sessions was great during the campaign. He just was.
Trump’s mistake was not appointing Sessions. It was in not asking for his resignation immediately after Sessions’ resignation
“With all due respect, Mr. President, you picked him.”
He certainly did, and who could blame him. Sessions was the first prominent Republican to endorse him. While a Senator he was one of the best representative of conservative ideals. When he was appointed AG, something happened, the bastard turned on a dime. Apparently, the DOJ or FBI have something on him, while they control him like a puppy on a leash.
