No, the accusation was not specific as to time and place (how convenient!), so he cannot deny being there, whenever and wherever "there" was.

Suppose he was expressly forbidden by his parents to go to unsupervised parties.
If he knows that he actually obeyed his parents, he could very easily say that he never went to that kind of party.
