Accuracy in recall of “repressed” memories can be a tricky thing. There is a level of processing in the human brain, which includes dream sequences, that can become as “real” as actual and experienced interactions with others. It is often in the dream state that these “repressed” memories come to the forefront, but there is also a great deal of emotional content in these recollections, and the nightmarish qualities of the avatar the mind creates to replay the sequence of events is finally more real than the life original.
Fantasy can be a powerful driving force. This one, with all the snakes she has in her head, we are supposed to believe, while some 60 women, willing to sign their name to a missive, attest to the good character and otherwise sterling qualities of Brett Kavanaugh, yet they are dismissed out of hand.
The “serious nature of the charge” needs little consideration, in view of this really unsupportable assertion.

I posit that the charge is not even serious. If it was not enough to get him arrested 30 years ago, even if using todays standards, then it is NOT a serious charge. It is an attempt to destroy his reputation and credibility. Period, end of sentence. I think McConnell needs to sit with the fence sitters in the Senate, and have a long talk with them, then push the nomination thru. Enough of this crap, hearings over, we vote.
