I am reminded of a conversation I had during the late
60s. A friend said,”Just think,in the future, WE will
control the levers of government!”.
I told him, “What happens, when the young revolt against
your policies?”.
He said, “Boy, will we STEP on them!”.
I learned an important lesson from that.
I remember similar conversations. Of course my dad had prepped me with axioms about “being kind to those you meet on the way up...” - a concept that doesn’t seem to resonate among the left.
Lenin wrote, “When it comes time to hang the capitalists, they will vie with each other for the rope contract.”
So it goes with all totalitarian groups, whether Bolshevik, Islamic, or modern Marxists/Leftists. They will use the democratic system to crush you, after they get to power.
