I actually listened to Cruz - usually I can’t stand his dramatic, ‘debate team’ cadence, but today he was great!
Cruz’s point about Gorsuch and Kavanaugh having super-eligibilty (I think that was his term) was excellent. He pointed out that SCOTUS appointments was a key part of Trump’s sales pitch to the public during the campaign — in fact Trump even published his list of top picks — and so his election gave him a clear mandate to appoint these guys. The Dems frame it as some kind of abuse of the democratic process but Cruz made the case that it’s just the opposite. Cruz is a good guy to have around on days like today.
