"...because I want to know what his views are."
This isn't a court case; this is a hearing designed to determine Kavanaugh's qualifications.
I don't want to hear his views on anything.
All I want is simple:
"yes, no, with all due respect Senator (Insert name) this isn't a court case so every (Insert cultural/political subject), I don't know unless the evidence can be presented, I ruled based on the evidence in relation to the Constitution which I respect, my opinions are in relation to Constitutional law, I respect stare decisis (Doesn't mean you adhere to the concept...".

I ruled based on the evidence in relation to the Constitution which I respect, my opinions are in relation to Constitutional lawExcuse me, but your above statement is a view that you want to hear.
I've been TOLD, by others, what Kavanaugh believes.....but I would like to hear that for myself.
I also want to hear his view on judges using their position for political advocacy VS the rule of law, should he be asked that question.
If you don't want to hear his views about what he believes his responsibility will be, should he get the position of Supreme Court Justice, that's fine with me.
