You missed my point entirely and I most certainly did not accuse you of lying. My reference to lying with statistics refers to the constant publishing of statistics by groups or organizations who use them to further their own agendas. Too many people consider statistics as the final authority. I can make statistics prove whatever I want them to, therefore I ignore them in any serious discussion.
You ignore the history of France. You have effectively no knowledge of the French people and their beliefs, nor do the “researchers” who compiled their statistics. Suffice it to say that they are a complex people and a very wonderful people, but greatly misunderstood.
You talk about issues regarding doctrine and the foundation of Christian belief. You criticize mainline Protestant denominations as well as Catholics calling them heretics. Frankly, I am happy for you that you believe and are saved. I do not however, believe that your choice of “evangelism” is the only road to heaven.
That being said, all people are in need of a Savior. We are all sinners. Whether you live in Africa, France, Canada, or Iran. We are all sinners who need to accept the free gift of Christ's sacrifice.
For there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.
Roman 3: 22 - 25
I do not however, believe that your choice of evangelism is the only road to heaven.
There is only one road to heaven.
5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
1 Timothy 2: 5
There are not 100 or 1000,000 roads to heaven.
Only one.
Take care.
