A funeral should be a sad, solemn and moving occasion.

It should bring out the best in people, This one brought out the worst in them.

One had a feeling of disgust and revulsion. It was beneath every one who attended it, including the deceased man to whom they came to pay their respects.

Making it about the President wasn’t only out of place, it was low.

Its wasn’t a great day and I didn’t feel moved as an American.

I felt angered, cheapened and exploited. The people who staged this wretched travesty showed us all who they really are.

No - I didn’t watch it and in retrospect what it showed us is that at moments like this in American life, whaf prevails isn’t the sacred but rather the profane.
