Meghan McCain tore into an absent President Trump at a memorial service for her father, Arizona Sen. John McCain, in Washington on Saturday.
“We gather here to mourn the passing of American greatness,” McCain, a co-host of “The View,” said at the National Cathedral. “The real thing, not cheap rhetoric from men who will never come near the sacrifice he gave so willingly, nor the opportunistic appropriation of those who lived lives of comfort and privilege.”
“He was a great fire who burned bright,” she said in a speech punctuated by sobbing. “A few have resented that fire… but my father never cared what they thought.
“The America of John McCain does not need to be made great again, because America was always great.”

Even if one believes that Trump has been somewhat petty towards McCain over the years, this is not particularly classy on their part. It Demonstrates the ego and entitlement of this entire family and exactly why none of them should be appointed to his Senate seat

I can think of two things
Will the lemons ever stop falling from the McCain lemon tree? This is one classless, arrogant and delusional family and a pox on them all. This was not a funeral but a pathetic attempt at Trump bashing, shameful and deceptive. If John McCain was such a “hero” for his time as a POW, where were the rest of the POWs - heroes - at this funeral? Were there ANY there? Certainly, McCain’s military record does not make him a hero or deserve him much acclaim. As a Senator, he is known more for his back stabbing, anger tantrums, military screwing and obstruction of Republicans than anything else. McCain’s ONLY claim to fame is that he was anti-Trump.

At most funerals I’ve attended, it’s God’s love that fills the room, not hate and animus for a person who is not even in attendance.... Megan McCain’s, (with a history of melodramatics), eulogy was incredibly angry as she weaponized her fathers funeral service against a man who was not even present.
The blurring of pain and vengeance is a fine line......she well crossed that line today.
