DETROIT — The bishop who officiated Aretha Franklin’s funeral apologized Friday to Ariana Grande for how he touched her onstage and a joke he made about her name.
Bishop Charles H. Ellis III led Franklin’s funeral and awkwardly greeted Grande on stage after she performed “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.” Images of the moment showed Ellis’ hand holding Grande well above her waist, with his fingers pressing against one side of her chest.
The preacher apologized in an interview with The Associated Press at the cemetery where Franklin was interred late Friday.

Women put a lot of time into picking out the right outfit. I think she knew exactly what she was going to create with the media and other guests.
since i don’t know the kid, i don’t know what she was thinking. You know more about it than i do.
All I know is that the younger generation usually asks a dozen people about their outfits before making a final decision. I’d be very surprised if someone along the way didn’t question the length to her.

Early in Motown days, Berry Gordy hired A lady named Maxine Powell, a very classy black lady who owned a finishing school to teach all of the artists elocution and social graces.
When you look back at how classy most Motown artists were, her lessons stuck.

Much ado about nothing. I am more offended that he apologized to the “Hispanic community”. Huh? Ariana Grande is Italian, not Hispanic. Or, is he apologizing to them for the Taco Bell comment? And, if so, what really does Taco Bell have to do with the Hispanic community? Most of them would not be caught dead there...sort of like Italians and Olive Garden.
Isn’t Grande the twit who was caught on film a few years back in a bakery, spitting on donuts behind the clerk’s back, and saying “I hate America.” ?
Is she the same one who got caught on camera licking all of the doughnuts on the tray while the counter clerk was in the back room?
The Taco Bell joke is one for the ages at a funeral. And a “preacher” at that..
She was half naked shaking her bootai all over. She should apologize.
I’m embarrassed by the clothes young people wear to church....even some adults. No wonder they attend funerals in pole-dancer clothing.
We were taught by our parents what to wear to certain events. We didn’t make it out of the house if our style of dress wasn’t correct. Nowadays, the question “How do I look?” simply means...”Do I look hot enough?”.

But she did sound almost like Aretha. That girl DOES have a killer voice.
