Uh, if history is a true example, they pretty much CAN rule forever if guns are removed from the hands of people. Flippancy is not good in the overall long haul when it comes to a country’s protection by it’s people from insiders and outsiders who have domination plans. I’m seeing a lot of Beto signs in my area. I believe they are by teachers in my area who are mystified and still angry they lost the last attempt to get more funding for the school district. “For the children,” is finally (please, let’s hope!) beginning to enter its dying phase.

Not just that, but people seem concerned that they’ll be exposed to reprisals if they put up Republican signs.

The Left has finally managed to merge fascism and communism into one big the State over all ideology.

I live in Austin. All I see in my neighborhood are Beto signs. I was at an event yesterday at the park near my house and two people I thought were intelligent people talking about getting out the vote for Beto. One of whom I know is a big hunter but a dem no less. I asked him if he knew Beto wants to take his guns away and he told me I was crazy. I told he need to get better informed about what the candidate he supports is saying and walked away. You just can’t fix stupid.

Uh, if history is a true example, it is going to be utterly impossible to remove guns from the hands of people in this country. There are likely somewhere between 412 million and 660 million guns in civilian hands (as of 2 years ago) http://weaponsman.com/?p=33875, and about 1.25 million are added every month. If we use 500 million as an accurate number, and assume that each weapon has 100 rounds of ammo set aside for it (yeah, I know, that’s a very low number for most people), then we also have 50 billion rounds of ammo. The 10 largest armies on the planet, combined, couldn’t hope to defeat such a force.

Oh, and this situation isn’t exactly new...a guy named Lincoln commented on a very similar issue:

“Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant to step the ocean and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia, and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest, with a Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force take a drink from the Ohio or make a track on the Blue Ridge in a trial of a thousand years. At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer. If it ever reach us it must spring up amongst us; it cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen we must live through all time or die by suicide.”
