Hopalong Cassidy, Roy Rogers,and The Lone Ranger with his trusty side kick Tonto were favorites in our home.
Then of course all us girls were in love with Maverick and we couldn’t go a week without knowing who would get shot on Gunsmoke and locked up in the hoosegow.
Wasn’t just about every TV show a western, a family show or a comedy show like Jackie Gleason and Burns and Allen?
Those were the days!!!
And the variety shows, where we heard the latest songs and saw the actors and actresses in comedy sketches.
We heard new comedians, saw animal acts, magical tricks, etc.
And never a swear word used.
