Actually I think he did Carol a favor by divorcing her, he was a mean man, very hard to live with, and a womenizer to boot.

I’ve read that he called Cindy awful names in front of others. But she stayed with him and seemed to love him. Who knows? I never understood why my dad stayed with my mom, it wasn’t until the later years I realized he loved her, so I figured it was his and their business.
