I just had a nice long conversation with the housekeepers. Indian married couple. I am NOT a great judge of age but guessing early 40s.
We talked food. I LOVE Indian food and the spices used. Turmeric, cumin, ginger, garlic.. etc. They are of course vegetarians and I have been for 45+ years. so we shared a few things. I kidded Lucy was not a vegetarian! She is drawn to the man housekeeper. I know little of Lucy’s past but pretty sure she had nice man as owner. He may have neglected her substantially but she was well fed and not abused.
I love Indian food also. Can cook some good dishes, but only do if I have someone to share with that likes it too. I take the meat dishes, but the vegetable ones are good too.
