I love Jacksonville but it does have a crime problem that spreads out occasionally from the neighborhoods where most of us know not to venture.
Seems the city has been trying to rehab the Landing for years, trying to turn it into a family and tourist friendly zone of shopping, restaurants, and night life but the gangs just won't let them.
I remember not long ago gunfire at an outdoor art exhibit during the middle of the day.
Mayor Curry, one of the few Republican mayors of a large city, needs to bring the hammer down on this crap, especially with Jacksonville booming as it is.
