Schumer is attempting to strip the Russell name off the Russell Building because Govenor/Senator Russell was a progressive FDR-style Democrat Governor of Georgia who smoked out disgraced Supreme Court Justice Abe Fortas early on, as a crook, a schemer, a no-goodnik, and a schnook (just like Schmuck Fumer).

Abe Fortas on behalf of himself and his wife, took payoffs from the 60s equivalent of Bernie Madoff. Fortas resigned from the Supreme Court on May 14, 1969. It would be nearly 25 years before another Jew would sit on the Supreme Court.

So for Schumer, it's personal.
