But then, war time and civilian affiliation with 3 different McCains clarified what he was to our extended family. The information is freely available in first hand accounts-to include his behaviour at Annapolis & bottom ranking (drunkenness, violence, admiral’s brat behaviour, poor command qualities). His war record, many crashes, and incompetence. Abuse heaped on Vietnam vets by the lib press added to all this, made it easy. All covered up diligently by his later PR machine.
So, he was a Senator. And a creator/founder of ISIS, an enabler of ISIS, who would not listen to the escapees from Iraq/Syria and their true stories of the vicious actions and politics of these thugs— who were not “moderates” but actual al-Qaeda leadership, in Syria, and whom this tool went and met in person with (later horrific photos of their actions- postitively ID’d). It did not fit the “gunrunning” cartel fake narrative he shared with the clintoonian/obamaumao Benghazi liars and thieves. And THAT is the truth.
Terrible legacy, to have a “get out of jail” card- your cleared- for Keating 5 be used as the sword of Damocles that motivated him to “cross the aisle” and “be a maverick”. When what he was inside the Boys Club was... a Tool for dem liberal mil-industrial grifters perpetuating a war. All a charade.

Foot note, and reference: McCain broke his arms when ejecting- something that training repeatedly showed pilots how NOT to do. This is known to survivor pilots of that era and from that aircraft. The radio last 12 hours has said” he was tortured for 5 years”.... Nooo, that would not be possible since he would have returned a gibbering mess. Once they knew who McCain’s daddy was— it was full on manipulation by Soviet advised VC interrogators and propagandists. It was and is grossly unfair to accuse a POW of “giving in” to torture— torture creates this response, and unless one were to die, they spill.
What is reprehensible is the cooperation and statements that came out. There are a lot of facts out on this.
Being from US Navy heritage—from before WWII, will leave it there. There is appalling “washing” going on, especially by the “crossover” repubs in name only (mil-industrial beltway bandit types and of course never trumpers) and the lib dems looking for a replacement (eyes set on McRomney fairly certain). The Keating 5 “cover up” was the leverage dems had on him.... for life. That is a fact, and a very human thing for someone to do, not good, but human.
To this day, still wonder if he was spirited to experts at the Lubyanka— to program him, per his own biases and upbringing- to actuate their kompromat. Never forgetting his usefulness in the “dossier” “validation” to the FBI... the rubber stamp, so to speak. More from Brennan on this... soon.
