The Communist Who Launched Keith Ellison’s Career

Keith Ellison's political career began with controversy over his links to the Nation of Islam's Louis Farrakhan, connections that continues to dog him to the present day despite his repeated disavowals. But less commonly known is another radical association of Ellison's: a decade-long relationship with Marxist University of Minnesota professor and 1974 Communist Party gubernatorial candidate in Minnesota, Erwin Marquit. Marquit helped launch Ellison's national political career in 2006 using Marquit's political connections, anti-war associations, personal donations, and hosting at least four fundraisers over the years for Ellison in the Marquit home near Cedar Lake in the Bryn Mawr section of Minneapolis.

Marquit, with that silly goatee of his, sponsored the “Marxist Education Project” conferences for many years. They were the Communist Party USA’s equivalent of the DSA’s “Socialist Scholars Conferences”, many of which you can find at www.keywiki.org, by year.

The reference to the Democrat-Farmer-Labor Party is interesting as the old 1940’s DFL Party was heavily influenced if not controlled by the CPUSA for many years. I believe HCUA had some information on the DFL in their “Investigation of Communist Activities in the Minneapolis, Minn. Area”, 1954, etc.

And while we’re going for “Golden Oldies” re information on the CPUSA in Minnesota, let’s remember the following “FrontPageMagazine.com” article “Keith Ellison’s Friends, Our Enemies” by Joe Kaufman, Jan. 4, 2007 (http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Printable.asp?ID-26284. It details Ellison’s political and FINANCIAL support from CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations), characterized by Kaufman in the article as, “a group that was the brainchild of Hamas dputy Mousa Abu Marzook (Marzouk), incorporation CAIR. One of the leaders was CAIR’s Executive Director, and himself, a Hamas supporter, NIHAD AWAD”.

Ellison also attended and spoke at “another organization’s event in Minnesota. That organization was the North American Imams Federation (NAIF)”. This was discovered shortly after six imams coming from the conference were removed from a U.S. Airways flight headed to Arizona. One of the imams, Omar Shahin, was formerly a representative of KindHearts, a “charity” that was shut down in February (2000).”

And lastly, “On Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, Ellison was the k eynote speaker at yet another Islamist venue, the national convention of MAS (Muslim American Society) and the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), held in Dearborn, Michigan. Both MAS and ICNA have their roots in the violent Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt and Pakistan, respectively...”

Kaufman ends this expose’ article by writing:

“Keith Ellision spent 10 years of his life associating with the Nation of Islam. Since running for office, it seems, he has traded his loyalties to that group for organizations and individuals that are at least equally dangeroud. When Congressman Ellison places his hand, today, on the Quran, to which people is he swearing an oath to protect? Is it it American public - many of which went blindly into the voting booths to choose him - or is it his friends, our enemies?”

In my opinion, Ellison is both an Islamic extremist movement supporter and a Marxist, which makes him a double threat to our security as well as a traitor.

However, the people of Minnesota are so stupid that they will probably elected him the state’s Attorney General, just as they have elected other communists and extremists to various state and local government positions, including Minn. Secy of State Mark Ritchie (see the expose’ on his CPUSA ties also in www.keywiki.org, under his name).

The Soviet’s Cold War may have been over (I don’t think so), but the communist and islamist Cold and Hot wars against the US have continued unabated since the 1990’s. Ellison is an integral part of that war.

Socialist Scholars

Talk about two words that encapsulate an incredible amount of ego, duplicity, deception, and downright lies. There are NO Socialist Scholars. None of them have an ounce of intellectual integrity, or an ounce of intellect.

I was reading an economics book a few years back that had two co-authors. One of them wrote a chapter on Karl Marx's economic theories. He started off talking about how Marx had studied economics at a level that no one else had, and had a knowledge of economics that was hard to even comprehend. I stopped reading right there, because it was clear that the author himself didn't understand even basic economics.
